Name: Adam Dahak {SW}
Rank/Level: Red
Age: 30
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 176 lbs
Eyes: Dark Brown (but seemingly glowing with some form of spiritual energy)
Hair: Dark Brown/Jet Black, occasionally with red streaks. Adam's hair is dark enough to seemingly draw light to it and it appears to constantly shine, and always appears to be silky and soft.
Traits: A seemingly preternatural, heightened connection with spirits and the spirit realm due to his Tsalagi heritage
Known Allies: Dahaks, Tsalagi Ayeli (Cherokee Nation), most other American-Indian tribes, Namid (Star Dancer, aka Rain Skysong, twin sister), Coyote (The Trickster, Adam's Spirit Totem and Ally)
Known Enemies: Enemies of the Tsalagi and of the Dahaks
Weapons Used:
* Bow: A Bow handmade by a Lakota Sioux Warrior as a gift, small as a regular bow but containing a short draw, allowing Adam to use his full strength. Despite its small size, the bow has the range and damage capacity of a Compound Bow. Adam, however, does not use regular arrows, preferring instead to create arrows of solidified light (or Void) to prevent him from being weiged down.
* Warhawk x2: A Warhawk is similar to a Tomahawk, except it possesses an impossibly sharp point on one end, capable of piercing through a Human skull and into the brain, and a small blunt end on the other side.
* Amulet: Not exactly a weapon, this amulet is made of turuoise and white leather, in the shape of an eagle flying over the Earth. The eagle represents the Great Father, and the Earth represents the Earth Mother. Adam only recently discovered that when the Great Father and Earth Mother resurrected him at the tender age of 12, they bonded his Spirit Totem, Coyote (The Trickster), into his amulet. The Great Father and Earth Mother used this amulet to communicae with Adam by sending visions of people in need of his help, or of spirit messengers. To assist Adam, the Great Father and Earth Mother bestowed Coyote with the ability to open a Gateway, which he would activate when Adam received a vision of the person or people he was supposed to help. By the time the vision was completed, Adam was usually already at his new destination. Being shunted through a Gateway while in the midst of a vision tended to leave Adam disoriented for a few moments afterwards, though he eventually became more used to it and was less affected by it once he learned what to expect after several years of this. However, since Adam became a Dahak, Coyote has lost the ability to generate the Gateway simply because it is completely useless to Adam now. The spirits have not turned their faces from Adam, however, and still use the amulet to communicate with him (although they tend to show visions of darker things yet to come, and the True Paths of people or beings he meets now lead to dark, wicked paths).
KNOWN POWERS:
- HOUSE OF LEO (EXTRADIMENSIONAL):
- - NOVICE:
Level One - Protective Aura - Subject is known to be surrounded by an aura that acts as body armor allowing him to withstand/resist physical and energy attacks. (Additional note: subject has also been known to alter the properties of his aura to produce higher levels of light, and/or heat in addition to its normal defensive properties).
Level Two - Time Sense - The Subject can sense contractions and dilations in time. In addition, he can sense the use of Temporis or other time-altering powers. He also has an internal clock, which keeps perfect track of time. This is particularly useful with the higher level powers of this Discipline, as it allows the subject to know just what she is capable of doing with her powers, how long the effects will last, etc.
- HOUSE OF SCORPIO (SOUL MASTERY):
- - NOVICE:
Level One – Echo - Every spirit, be is living or undead, or captured (Underworld, land of the dead) has a signature which continually gives off a series of patterns in pulses that no one ever hears nor feels. This is because they are unable to feel its presence. The Learning Soul student will begin to pick up on these vibration patterns and map them out in their mind. This is called the Spirit’s Echo. Through this power they can keep track of a spirit, for up to Two days from the time you pick up on it. Excellent tool for keeping track of a would be enemy. No Matter where they go, you can trace it. The general rule is, the further away they are from you, the more time it will take to pick up on their exact location.
Level Two – Spirit Burn – By making contact physically with another being, you can stir their spirit to a frightful stage. Resembling the powers of hell into the body of the victim, it will cause them to fear you, and the power you hold in your being. This is most useful when trying to warn someone of your ability that you might not wish to fully use.
Level Three – Free Spirit – This power can be used one of two ways. Either way resolves around freeing a spirit from the underworld. You may use this power to free a single spirit from either the underworld or land of the dead. If you free them from the land of the dead, you must decide rather or not they move on into the underworld, or released back into the real world. You may release them into the real world to be free to do their own will. Or you may free them only for a period of time to do an assigned task for you.
- - INTERMEDIATE:
Level Four – White Flames - Beginning in this stage you are able to learn how to protect both your own soul and the souls of other beings. The first stage in this process is called white flames. This power will allow you to create a blanket of spiritual energy around your own body or around the body of the one you are wishing to protect. Anyone making contact with it, or attacking the spirit from within the white flames will themselves find their souls under attack. It begins to penetrate into the victim’s soul, destroying it until they either release from the flames or stop the spirit attack they are wishing to deal. The power lasts for up to 24 hours depending on the wish of the student.
- HOUSE OF GEMINI (PARADOXAL):
- - NOVICE:
Level One - Paradoxal Summit - The ability to view things from multiple Spheres, Dimensions, both known and unknown at the same time. So long as the overlay is within 4 miles of the user. This is a basic said ability and does not cost an action. It should be assumed that the user always has this in play unless otherwise stated.
HISTORY:
Adam Skysong was born into the world as Mankah(Earth), to the same tribal family as Namid(Star Dancer), who would later become known as Rain Skysong. Mankah and Namid were very close in their youth, due to Namid being the only girl born into the family yet having no brothers of her own, or so they thought. In truth, Mankah and Namid were born to the same mother as Twins, and originally it was though that Mankah would in fact become the Chosen Protector of their People, and as such, he was separated from her and raised by an aunt within the same family so he might focus better on his training.
As a youth, it seemed he was never able to get lost. Once, before he was even eligible to be considered to be a Hunter, while accompanying a hunting party through the woods, he had become separated from the party. It was a few hours later when he returned, the tribe having had no luck searching for him. Yet when he returned, Mankah trailed behind him several choice rabbits bound by a leather cord. After being lectured he was given a chance to explain what happened, and he informed them that he had been able to find his way home with no problem. The tribe would have a feast that night, and a couple weeks later, according to the Chief's plan to test Mankah's claim, he was guided deep into the woods while blindfolded. He was spotted walking back into camp not even 2 hours later, a good couple hours before the Hunters that guided him in returned. From that day forth, he was known as the tribe's Pathfinder, stating his gifts had been granted directly from the Earth Mother.
At the age of 12, things would change in his life immensely. It would be the day that his twin sister, Namid, who'd beenraised as his cousin, would fall and hit her head on a rock. She survived, obviously, though in truth there would be more to it than that. In actuality, she had not survived the fall, but the Great Father had caused her to be reborn into her power as the true Chosen Protector of the People. That same night, Mankah would be traveling through the woods, purposely trying to get himself lost and finding that he could not, no matter how hard he tried. After a few hours, he had given up his attempt at losing himself and was heading home when he was beset by a massive bear. The bear took a single swipe at Mankah and knocked him clear into a tree, actually cracking the inner 'skin' of the tree. Unconscious, the bear had moved to swipe at his prone form when a giant white eagle flew overhead, or so it seemed within Mankah's mind. Letting out a screech before swiping down towards the bear, the bear would run off. The noise created by the eagle would d raw a hunting party toward Mankah's dying form.
Unfortunately, due to the loss of blood from the bear's attack, Mankah would not survive the trip back home. The tribe prepared a pyre and set his young body upon it, lighting it on fire. Then the tribe's second miracle of the day occurred; the heat from the fire began to die down and literally seemed to be flowing into Mankah's body...and suddenly he would be surrounded by the purest light. Mankah's form sat up and slowly rose to its feet on the pyre, and as it did so, his body shot into the sky, shining as thoug the brightest of stars. The Great Father had once again acted on behalf of the People, causing Mankah to be reborn. In the process, the Great Father and the Earth Mother bound Mankah's spirit totem, Coyote the Trickster, into the turquoise and white leather amulet he had been given by the Chieftain after being declared the tribe's Pathfinder. Mankah was now truly the Chosen Path Finder, guiding the People along their true paths and destinies. Since then he has been called either Duyugodv Ayosdi(Seeker of Truth), Etu(Sun), Mankah(Earth), or Waya Woyi(Coyote Phoenix) by the Tsalagi Ayeli(Cherokee Nation). For saving the life of a deathly ill Lakota Warrior, the Sioux tribe gifted him with the name of Nvinweh(Pathfinder). To the outside world, the world of the pale-skins, he was simply Adam Skysong.
It is now 18 years later, and the hero of this little tale, Mankah, has died. He would have been 30. The funeral was beautiful. The Tsalagi Ayeli had many memories and well-wishes for his family. Even representatives of the other tribes made the trek to the Cherokee Reservation in Oklahoma. Even Pale-skins and other colors were there.
How would I know? I was there.
Who am I? I have many names. Earth. Sun. Coyote Phoenix. Seeker of Truth. Pathfinder. All names that died that day.
You can call me...Adam Dahak {SW}.
